How I view my practice at the start of my current training

This practitioner has not chosen to share this information at this time.

Each day working with children is different . I love the way children have this innate curiosity about the world around them and how the simplest of things can cause such wonderful reactions in children .How all children are individual and learn in different ways .

My role i feel is one love and being in attuned to the children , in many ways my role can be very diverse in one moment i am a storyteller the next an explorer next instance a carer or a cuddly teddy bear . I am on the journey with my children learning alonside them and from them .

From the home visit where I first meet the child ,getting down to their level getting to know their interests and what i can do to help their transition into nursery . Through my practice i develop a child centred approach through planning, observations, huddle sheets etc taking childrens learning forward . Giving children choice and talkong through the choice .

Provocations through areas to develop childrens interests. Through huddle sheets and leven scales we as a staff team can see where children are enjoying the environemnt and materials aswell as where there could be more added.

Children are given opportunties to visit woodland area , children asked if they would like to attend through we discuss with children how they will keep themselves safe . Children in turn discuss what risks they may face. At snack and lunch children make choices on what they would like to have or make for something to eat.

The way i view my relationships with families have deepen ,taking that time to develop this bond discussing with parents the trist they are placing in me to look after their most precious gift . I continually reflect on pratice on whter i give children enough choice amd whether i have stepped in too quickly .Hightlighted to have important it is to have a conversation with childnre in stead of shutting them down discuss in detail the reasons behind their choices . I have a deep connection with nature

I ensure all children have equal opportunities and ensure i treat each child as individual but with fair and equal treatment .Children and staff are treated as equals and respect one another .

Better understanding of froebelian practice and i how i continue forward to develop this in my new setting and familoes.

I think having like minded people around who understand and live froebelian ways , who understand thr importance of wokring together in unity to build a community for our children .
