Beginnings
– How I view my practice at the start of my current training –
This practitioner has not chosen to share this information at this time.
I love supporting practitioners to understand the significance of their role and the opportunities they have to make a difference with young children.
I am a leader of learning with the local authority with a focus on supporting learners whose home language is not English. I have lots of experience supporting positive interactions as a Video Enhanced Reflective Practice Trainer.
As a leader of learning my role involves supporting change at organisational levels and the most important part of this is meeting practitioners where they are and supporting them to lead their own learning journey.
The child is at the centre of every interaction and the practitioner follows the child's lead and scaffolds all of their learning.
Froebelian thinking is so fundamental to excellent childhood practice today and its time to slow down and think.
