Beginnings

How I view my practice at the start of my current training

This practitioner has not chosen to share this information at this time.

Everyday is different. There is a sense of wonder in young children that can be joyful to witness. Children are all so individual and unique that it’s amazing to witness their growth and development.

To support and encourage children in the social and emotional development. Help them become independent and know they are valued. Help spark an interest in learning to last them all their lives.

My practice is most child-centred when I am listening and developing children’s interests. When they show an interest it sparks an interest for me.

There is a wide range of experiences that are available, with natural and open ended resources. We are still developing our procedure to be fully child centred.

Children’s interest help share the environment, but are less involved in other areas in the setting. Children are key for me in my day to day role

I am more relaxed about children directing their learning, and allowing for them to be able to assess their own risks and safety. I think I think more about the natural work and natural resources

This has has a slight impact but I have not noticed a huge impact.

A great understanding of Froebel’s principles and how I can develop and implement them more effectively

Time to ready and formulate a plan with others within my setting to ensure a greater understanding.
